Singing students: May 28—June 5, 2026

Apprentice and Junior Teachers: May 25—June 5, 2026

Singing Students are those who wish to learn the Sweetland Singing Technique, and for Sweetland Singers who want to continue to hone their skills. You will receive daily singing lessons with multiple Master Teachers and Junior Teachers, will work regularly with an accompanist, have opportunities to perform on evening masterclasses and soirees, and receive repertoire advice. You will learn both Belt and Legit (Classical) singing techniques, tailored to your goals.

Apprentice Teachers are experienced singers or teachers wishing to learn how to teach the Sweetland Singing Technique. You will learn the basics of singing and teaching the Technique and may be assigned students. Follow-up with Master Teachers will occur at least four times in the year following your attendance. After meeting certain benchmarks, you graduate to Junior Teacher status.

Junior Teachers are Apprentice Teachers returning for their second year of the Institute. Upon meeting certain benchmarks, you will receive a certificate declaring you a Certified Teacher. Junior teachers will be assigned students during the Institute and will teach under the direction of a Certified Teacher.

Cost includes housing (rooming options variable), most meals, daily singing lessons, and accompanist as available. Attendee is responsible for transportation, travel insurance, and all other usual and necessary expenditures.
